Aileron Succession Community of Practice

After our succession workshop in October, we heard overwhelming feedback that our community is looking for more succession support and peer connection.

We heard you loud and clear.

Based on your feedback, we’re forming a Succession Community of Practice—a small, committed group of business owners who will come together 4x in 2026 to actively advance your succession plans through facilitated, in-person working-and-learning sessions.

We’ll launch the group in February 2026 if 10 or more business owners express interest. Raise your hand today.

Frequently Asked Questions

This experience is designed for business owners preparing to transition out of the business in the next 1-7 years. If you’re looking ahead more than 7 years, we invite you to gain support and clarity through Business Coaching.

No, you don’t. Some participants will have successors in place; others are still exploring their options. The program helps you clarify next steps regardless of where you are in the process.

The four facilitated sessions will be part-working session, part-peer connection. You’ll actively work through succession tools, hear stories from business owners who have navigated successions in the past, and work through your unique challenges with the peers in your group.

This program will be facilitated by an Aileron Business Coach who has specific interest and experience in succession.

We’ll formalize the session schedule after we have a group confirmed. Sessions won’t begin until February 2026, giving you plenty of time to hold space on your calendar. You can expect an update on scheduling in the next few weeks, and will be able to review the schedule before formally committing.

While having a successor identified isn’t a requirement for this program, if you have one identified, you’ll be invited to bring them into the work at key milestones.

This community of practice is focused on the emotional and people part of succession—getting you, your successor, and your organization ready for your transition. We’ll stay focused on those topics, and won’t cover anything regarding the legal aspects of the transition.
